“ Goodness is the only investment that never fails.” - Henry David Thoreau

This student success statement by Thoreau quotes that there are numerous investments that fails, however, there is only investment that doesn’t and that goodness. There are some investments that sometimes fails you and that is financial ones, time, etc. But “goodness” doesn’t fail you. Some examples of investing goodness are being productive, being hardworking, being humble, have a caring heart, be respectful, etc. Those are good deeds. When you are investing these, it will never fail, because it is good acts. Good deeds and acts are always helpful and good in life. For instance, if you are in a position whether to drink alcohol or not. Than you must invest the goodness and choose the right! By doing the right decision, you are investing the goodness. Another example would be if you are doing random acts of kindness and helping a lot of people just because it is the right thing to do, than you are investing the goodness. This will never fail and will never be a wrong thing to do, because you are actually doing goodness. Sometimes, people consider “investments” as a bad thing. However, they don’t know that there is only one thing in life that is a good investment and that is the goodness.
