Decisions Determine Destiny
The quote, " Decisions determine destiny" means that you're choices will decide on your destiny. This quote was said by president Thomas S. Monson. The choices we make will either affect us in a positive way or in a negative way. It also means that we are not free to choose the consequences of our choice. If someone makes a foolish decision, he/she needs to be ready to face the consequence. We are not free to not choose. An example of this quote will be a bad scenario. For instance, if a person chooses to smoke or do drugs, that decision will determine his future. In a good scenario, a person could turn their homework every time and does community service, his/her decision will determine her future which by the way, its a good choice.
Yesterday was pretty awesome. During school, i made new friends and they were fun to talk to. After the dismissal, my brother picked me up and went to buy a Slurpee. Then, he went to drop me off at school for my basketball practice. The practice was tiring and I was all sore. However, my friends were on the benches cheering me up and that helped me a lot. After practice was over, my coach talked to us and stated that my friend from basketball and I made it to varsity. I was extremely happy. I just need to manage my time in practices and homework! Overall, yesterday was the greatest.
My first few days of coming here in HPIAM, was pretty awesome. During the first day of school, I was scared and nervous. But for my advisory class, i started to feel a little comfortable. Our teacher gave us a warm welcome here. For my first period which was English, was pretty fun. Throughout the whole day, sophomores, juniors,seniors, and teachers made me feel comfortable. Each class, we did activities to get to know my other peers which was really fun. The next day, we did more activities and get to know new people. We did activities such as " Two Truths and One lie" . Over all , the whole days I spent here was really exciting and fun.
