  Ear Nose Throat Doctor
Duties and Responsibilities: The ear, nose, and throat doctor, also known as the ENT, are medical doctors that are responsible for surgical and medical treatment for nose, throat, and the ear. They are responsible for diagnosing and treating a number of conditions that originate in the head or the neck. They are also responsible for investigating if the problem is occurring because of an allergy. One of their duties is to write the prescriptions of the type of medication is needed for the patient. If the cases are severe, the doctor will then recommend a surgery.

Salary: $205,000 per year

Education: To become an ENT, you first need to complete a medical school program for five years. The first year will be focus on emergency medicine and critical care medicine. Then the other four years, it will be focus on otolaryngology. After that, you must pass the United States Medical License Examination.  

Demand or Need for this profession:  There are very few ENT specialists. We need a demand for this profession. One out of three of ENT specialists are here Los Angeles.

Reflection: I don’t think I would like to be one, because it doesn’t quite interest me. This career has a great salary, however I feel there will be more pressure in this career.
