              Emergency Medical Technician
Duties and responsibilities: The emergency medical technician also known as an EMT, are responsible for assessing, treating, and transporting patients to the medical facility. They usually work with the policemen and the firefighters. They must be prepared to respond to emergencies calls such as car accidents, violent crimes, childbirth, seizures, strokes, etc. After they have arrived in the scene, they may bandage some injuries, check vital signs, control bleeding, and administer oxygen. Working as an EMT, can be emotionally and mentally demanding.


Salary: ( $29,350-$37,850)


Education: Many EMTs have special requirements such as a high school diploma, age requirement, fitness test, and background checks. They must enter into intermediate EMT training program and must required 30-350 hours for the completion. Some programs may lead you to certificates and associate's degree.


Demand or need for this profession: There are alot of EMTs required . Every day there is bad in society , and there are tons of EMTs answering phone calls.



Reflection: I don’t think I would like to be an Emt, because it doesn’t quite interest me. There’s too many pressure and working there as an EMT can be both emotionally and mentally demanding.
