“ Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know that the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”
                                            By: John F. Kennedy

This quote by our president John F. Kennedy is really meaningful. He is telling us the significance of maintaining a healthy body and that this can affect our intellectual activity. He tells us that the relationship between our body and and our mind is very subtle. However, the Greeks understood that the intelligence and knowledge can only work when the body is strong and healthy. For instance, you can’t push too much information in your brain without a break. After studying a while, you must do some physical fitness, exercise. This forgets you about all the work and freshens up your mind and body. With this done, you can now go home and hit the books. If someone studies and reads a lot with no break or obtaining too much information in your brain, it not only can damage your brain, but it is unhealthy. Taking a walk or a run after studying is absolutely great. The mind and the body has a connection, therefore, the intellectual activity and physical fitness has a connection as well. We need to combine both. To improve my health, I should eat in portions and avoid snacking. Fortunately, I play sports so my health is good. I also combined physical fitness with my intellectual activity and it works fine. That is what John F. Kennedy states.
